Last Harvest

It's starting to get cold here in Central Texas, and some of my veggies are dead already....yay!
I'm glad I was able to harvest some beans, okra, and eggplants the other day. I guess it's my last harvest this year!

Organize Your Shoes with ClosetMaid Stacker

An organized closet is one of my goals this year. So for the past few months I've been busy trying to keep my closet clean and in order. From clothes to jewelries...yay, thank goodness I made it before 2014!
I tried different avenues on how to keep my shoes organize, but there's too many of them. Since I have quiet a few I decided to get rid of the shoes that I don't like and sold some of them on eBay. I still have a few pairs that are up for sale though. Anyhow, thanks to ClosetMaid Stacker for keeping my shoes neat and organize. Now I need two more stacker for my heels.

Taro or Gabi

I bought some taros and planted them last summer. They grow up so fast and already used the leaves and stalks for cooking. Taro is a root vegetable that is eaten in many different cultures around the world and has a rich history, with many possible recipes.
Taro is native to South India and Southeast Asia. It is a perennial, tropical plant primarily grown as a root vegetable for its edible starchy corm, and as a leaf vegetable. It is a food staple in African, Oceanic and South Indian cultures and is believed to have been one of the earliest cultivated plants.
According to wiki, Taro is called gabi in the Philippines and is widely available throughout the archipelago. The leaves, stems, and corms are consumed and form part of the local cuisine.

Decorative Yarn Balls

A friend of mine is going to have a baby soon. I think she's expecting her first child February of next year. Her and her husband are both busy at work, and she don't have time to decorate the baby's room. So, she asked a favor if I could do it for her. Since they don't know the sex of the baby yet, I opted for neutral colors. I just loved the decorative yarn balls that I made.
