Steel Shelving

I've been meaning to organize our messy garage and de-clutter the unwanted junks that I have accumulated over the years.
I'm glad I found a good solution! I bought two sets of Heavy Duty Steel Shelving at Walmart for $65.00 each.
Here are some of my junks...lol!
This shelve is very quick and easy to install.
Tadaaa! I also bough a few garage container bins and labeled them. Now I'm working on the other shelve. It looks like we have a plenty of space in our garage. What a relief!

Just as important as knowing what you should do when remodeling a bathroom is knowing what you shouldn't do. That’s why we are focusing here on what renovations and remodeling projects that you shouldn't have performed here. Making a mistake when remodeling your bathroom is different than making one in other areas of the house. Bathrooms are unique since there is so much water flowing in and out of the room. A remodeling error here can cost you not only thousands in repair costs, but the structural damage of sustained water leakage. If you can avoid these mistakes, you will save yourself thousands while keeping your peace of mind. Here’s what you should do:
  • Take your time: Remodeling is a process that too many people rush through because they can’t wait to be done. Everybody wants their project to be finished as soon as possible, but there are a lot of things that can go wrong if you rush a bathroom. Plan well before you start. Meet with your contractor and discuss your budget and timetable. If possible, keep most of your plumbing in its original space. Moving them is risky and can cost you thousands. Follow your plan and remember, nothing is more expensive than remodeling twice!

  • Stick to your budget, but don’t be cheap: It can be tempting to hire labor that is dirt cheap when you are trying to lower costs. But remember, if they make a mistake, you are likely going to be paying much more in order to correct that error. A remodeling project in your bathroom is well worth paying the extra money to professionals who have experience and are going to get the job right the first time. When you remodel, you will want to look into water efficient fixtures, such as those that qualify as high quality under the EPA’s WaterSense program. Upgrading will decrease the chance leaks will spring up.

  • Only buy products that you've seen firsthand: Buying a product secondhand, based on what you've heard about is a recipe for disaster. When buying online, make sure that the source is reputable and that the products have been used before with success. When buying from a vendor, ask to see an example of the product working. Buying the wrong product can cost you dearly in remodeling costs.

  • Storage space is more valuable than you think: Not having enough storage space can be the kiss of death for a bathroom. Even a beautifully remodeled bathroom simply doesn't have high value if there isn't enough space for soap, mouthwash, and other amenities. Make sure that you have cabinets, shelves, and extra space for all the essentials.

Lighting Essentials for a Gorgeous Home

Decorating and designing your own home can be an exciting experience, especially if it's for the first time. But with the overwhelming gush of emotions and a fairly limited background on interior design, the whole process can turn out to be stressful and frustrating.

One of the most crucial aspects of home design is the lighting. Not all and probably only a few will instantly realize it, but lighting has a huge impact not only on the level of security, but as well on the aesthetic value of home. And because of that, it's only important to give it ample attention and care.

In the next paragraphs are some tips and advice that first-timers should know in order to ensure a home lighting system that not only makes its occupants feel safe and secure, but comfortable and relaxed as well:

1. Make sure to have both indoor and outdoor lighting.

It can be really easy to overlook the outdoor lights at home, especially if you are too engrossed with beautifying the indoors. Nevertheless, homeowners should realize that outdoor lighting is crucial in keeping the household safe and secure. It therefore demands attention and time, and must be planned accordingly. Install flood lights and floor lamps as necessary.

2. The lighting system should be designed separately for every room.

Each room and area of the house has a unique and specific purpose, so it should follow that each also has a lighting system that supports its particular role in the house. For instance, kitchen lighting should differ from lighting in the home office even though they are both heavy duty areas. As to the specifics, you can seek professional advice from Interior-Deluxe. They should be able to give you all the relevant information that you will need in regards to home lighting.

3. Always take into consideration the amount of natural light that you can have inside your house.

Sometimes, it can be easy to get totally carried away with chandelier-shopping that you forget about natural light and the wonders of its effects on your home. While there are a lot of perfectly engineered and amazingly designed artificial lights now on the market, natural light still is the best existing lighting source. For one, it's for free. Second, it gives off that effortless and unassuming radiance that when it touches the floor of your interiors and bounces off the walls, the effect is just lovely. So when you are still in the process of planning out how your lighting system should be, see to it that you have the accommodation of natural light in your plan.

4. See to it that the light fixtures you pick coincide with the theme or design of your home.

If you're going for French-inspired interiors, then make sure that the light fixtures and accessories you pick would enhance such theme or design. Meanwhile, if you are keen on having a sleek and rigid finish that is commonly a characteristic of modern-style homes, then picking more minimalist light fixtures would be your best bet.
